ATLANTA – New Orleans rapper “Lil Wayne” has just publicly admitted to have tested positive for HIV Thursday morning. The rapper tweeted the message to his fans on his official Twitter account; see tweet below:
It is still unknown if Lil Wayne contracted the infection through sexual intercourse or simply blood contact with another infected individual, Although, it is speculated that the infection was spreaded through sex.
Lil Wayne is not the first celebrity known to have HIV or an STD. Perhaps, the most widely known HIV victim is former NBA champion and legend Magic Johnson, who has become the center of internet memes and jokes, will Lil Wayne become the center of jokes as well? We’ll have to wait and see.
