(Derrick Bryson Taylor) Columbus Short’s life could rival a daytime soap opera.
The former “Scandal” star’s soon-to-be ex-wife Tanee McCall-Short was charged with battery after assaulting a woman who she thought was Short’s mistress, reports TMZ.
The 32-year-old actor’s friend Tilly Key came to pick him up from home after he was released from jail in May 2014. When McCall-Short, 33, spotted Key inside, things went awry.
Instead of breaking up the fight and helping his friend, the troubled actor, who self-medicates with alcohol, videotaped the altercation.
In the 46-second clip, McCall-Short is seen yelling, pulling Key’s hair and calling her a “low-rent bitch.” The “Coastal Dreams” actress also spits in the woman’s face.
According to the site, Key suffered a concussion, a cervical sprain, multiple contusions and a lower back strain and sprain.
The video’s release is the latest in an ongoing saga between the former couple. In April, McCall-Short claimed her estranged husband broke into and ransacked her home.
A request for comment from Short’s rep was not immediately returned.
